Dr. John Whitcomb co-authored the book "The Genesis Flood" (in 1961) with the Late Dr. Henry Morris, which triggered the modern Creation movement. The flood of Noah's day was the main destroyer of dinosaurs. However, as each kind would have been preserved on the ark to re-inhabit the earth afterwards, the final extinctions would have resulted from climatic variations from the post-flood ice-age.

As John Whitcomb is a theologian and Dr Morris the scientist, it would be more likely that the above views would have been presented by Dr. Morris in his sections of the work cited.
