Marco Polo was a great explorer. He even had a book written about his travels which gave Europeans some of their earliest information about China. Marco Polo also inspired many explorers, including Columbus.

∙ 11y agoPolo went to China with his father and uncle at 17 years old. He came home 25 years later bringing with him fantastic stories and wonderful things. His book about his trip was a best seller and encouraged other men to find a water route to Asia.
