Nephthys is the Greek form of an epithet (transliterated as Nebet-het, and Nebt-het, from Egyptian Hyroglyphs). Nephthys is a member of the Great Ennead of Heliopolis, a daughter of Nut and Geb. Nephthys was typically paired with her sister Isis in funerary rites because of their role as protectors of the mummy and the god Osiris and as the sister and wife of Set. Nephthys is occasionally regarded as the mother of the funerary-deity Anubus.
So in other words, she is considered the Nursing goddess, or the Protectress.
Nephthys was depicted the Goddess of the House\Mansion of the Gods.
There are about eleven not including the minor Goddesses of Ancient Egypt. Bastet was a protective Goddess, she was the Goddess of cats. For Egyptian gods and goddesses, at least Osiris, Isis, Horus, Set, and Nepthys, it is sort of like reincarnation but not. So, originally Osiris, Isis, Horus, Set, and Nepthys were all brother and sister but then later on the story was told differently with Osiris and Set still being brothers and Osiris being married to Isis and Horus being their son while Set and Nepthys were married.

Isis is the goddess of magic and healing. She married Osiris (god of dead) and they had a son named Horus. Her other siblings are Seth (god of evil) and Nepthys (nature goddess). She is daugter of Nut (sky goddess) and Geb (earth god). She is a woman with a seat-shaped headdress. Some believed that her tears for her dead husband (Seth killed him) flood the Nile.

Nut and Geb were the god and goddess of the sky and earth, respectively. They had four children, Isis, Osiris, Seth and Nepthys. Isis and Osiris married, and ruled the other gods, including their siblings Seth and Nepthys, who were also married. Seth was insanely jealous and killed Osiris, scattering the pieces of his body around Egypt. Although Isis was able to re-construct him, they used a beeswax penis to conceive their son Horus. Other well-known gods and goddesses include Horus, for protection, Bastet, goddess of cats, Sekhmet, mother of Bastet known for her violent protection, Hathor, goddess of wine dancing and happiness, Thoth, god of wisdom and Astrology and many, many others. Hope I helped!
