Initially Nintendo started by selling playing cards - entering the US in 1956 with a Disney franchise to brand their cards. I suppose technically playing cards aren't a single game, but lead to multiple variations.
In 1967 they launched the 'Ultra Machine' also known as the 'Slugger Mate' which essentially launches soft balls for hitting with a bat.
I'm not sure if a previous toy 'Ultra Hand' launched in 1966 was available in the US. It was a criss-cross extending hand used to pick up items from a distance for fun..

The first Nintendo hand-held game system was the game boy. It was a lot bigger than the newer models and it was onlt available in black and white. Now they have upgraded to smaller and color, some even have cameras.
