Life was kind of hard because they split from the northern colonies because the wanted slavery and they thought that Abraham Lincoln was going to make it illegal
They were rich and had rich farmland also farmed tobacco and lots of rice.
The Northern colonies had religious freedom with total separation from the church and state, so that was good news to the Puritans. The Middle colonies also had religious freedom and also had a voice in government.
