Answer 2

I assume that you are referring to those Jews that happened to be in continental Europe in areas under Nazi control. There are certainly difficulties that British Jews (like all other Britons) had to face, including frequent bombings of their major cities; difficulties that Middle Eastern and North African Jews had to face in the age of increasing Arab Anti-Semitism; and the relative tranquility of the Americas during this period. Jewish life under Nazi occupation was horrific; and children, while shielded by their families from the terror as much as possible, underwent horrible experiences. They went for days without food, were packed in crowded ghettos, and slaughtered in concentration camps and death camps. They witnessed the worst possible side of human nature, violent apathy. Their memories have been recorded both in soundtracks and interviews with those who survived, and in the artwork and poetry discovered from those who were less fortunate.

What is the birthday of Johanna Reiss?

Born on April 4, she lived in Holland during the time of ww2. She was Jewish and was hidden by her neighbors (the oostevelds). She spent four years in their home hidden like the waste of society. She never thought about writing until she saw how much freedom her kids had compared to what she had. So she wanted to show her kids what it was like to be a Jew back in ww2 so she wrote a book called "The Upstairs Room". Born on April 4, she lived in Holland during the time of ww2. Is being a Jew a choice or from ancestry?

It can be either. According to the laws of Judaism, a person born to a Jewish woman is a Jew. Alternatively, a person can become a Jew through valid conversion. However, a person who is a Jew, can convert to another religion and is seen as being cut off from the Jewish Nation. This person would technically be a Jew, however, they would not be Jewish.

Jew and jewish words are the same meaning?

technically a "jew" is saying to someone about their religion like saying their a jew. but saying it about them you say "they are jewish".
