John Adams did many things in his life. Some things were that he was one of the five delegates to inscribe the Declaration. also, he was, as you probably know, the second president of the united States. During his presidency there were some complicated events with France which, thanks to him, was stopped and war was not declared upon the colonies.
There would not be a US if not for John Adams. He took leadership and influrenced the other colonies to choose independence form England. He was on the drafting committee to write the Declaration of Independence and finally asked Thomas Jefferson to use his eloquence in drafting the final.
John Adams also secured loans from Holland for the war against England and later commissioned the Department of Navy during his Presidency. He served as Vice President under George Washington. He was also the 2nd President of the United States.
Please note that prior to all this he provided legal council for the British Officers who were charged with murder at the Boston Massacre and they were aquitted of the charges.
