Life was simpler then; there were no computers, cell phones, text messages, etc. They communicated the old fashioned way - by talking on the telephone and in person. School was also simpler; they stuck to the basics, but also had extra curricular activities (Beta Club, Science Club, school football, etc.). And, while there were drugs, they weren't nearly as much of a problem as they are today.
For recreation they went to movies, skating rinks, Bowling, sports, dancing, music, and reading. They watched television in the evenings together, instead of everyone having their own TV in their bedroom and watching by themselves. And there wasn't as much violence in television, either. There weren't as many working moms, so there were more mothers at home when children got home from school. Takeout dinners were the exception, not the norm, and families ate dinner together.
There was no rap music, and music didn't have the violence in it that much of today's rap and heavy metal music does. But the 1960's was when Rock Music became the rage, which many parents disapproved of.
The crime rate was lower, so kids were allowed to stay out long after dark. It was not uncommon for kids to walk several blocks after dark to a friend's house because it was safer then. It was even necessary at times, because there were relatively few teens who had their own cars then. And there were fewer gangs, so that made it safer, too. Although there were gangs, drive-by shootings were not as common as they are now.
It was a good time to grow up, and it's a shame today's teens can't have a taste of what life was like in those days.
Until the 1950s or even the early 1960s the concept of 'teenagers' was not well developed in many societies. In Britain the majority of kids left school at 14 (till 1947) then went to work. By modern standards, life was rather serious for 'teenagers'.
For me it was a peaceful time. I and I loved all the peace signs and the clothes like hip hugger bell bottoms and pilazo pants! You didn't have to worry about getting robbed or killed, even though we were in Boston. I'm not saying it was 100% peaceful, cause there was still crime, especially in places like Boston, but it obvioulsy wasn't as bad as it is now. I grew up in an orphanage so I was a little sheltered. I actually miss the sixties. If I could go back in time to any time period, it would be the sixties. Dee Sargent
Life for a teen in the 1950's was very simple. Ok they didnt have PS3's and Xbox's but they got through life. They would have feared to go outside sometimes. In Northern Ireland(where i live) in the 1950's was very unsafe. There was bomb scares everywhere and riots in the streets. All caused by the UVF and the IRA. So life in the 1950's was ok but unsafe.

The life for a teenager in the 1970s is very simple. They had little education most probably due to poverty as they need to quit school no matter how much their urge to study. They would start working to feed their families. During those times, they played skipping ropes etc for entertainment and they are some traditional games.
They had respect for they're parents, had jobs at age 14, also abstained from sex.

Teenagers may like to play Monopoly, Scrabble, Life, Jenga, Scattegories, etc. This will be dependent on your teenager. Some teenagers do not like to play board games.

Love is totally relevant in a teenagers life. People say that teens cannot really feel love like older people do, but they are very wrong. Love can do just as much to teens as it does to everyone else, in a teenagers life love can still make you feel on top of the world, or like the world has ended. It's the exact same emotion as it is for everyone else, and it governs a lot of your social interactions. In fact in my experience love is more relevant to a teenagers life than most other things.
Youngsters from Argentina live a normal life like everyone else throughout the world.
Teenagers life can be easier than those of adults. Teenagers main job is to get an education, or get trained in a trade so that he/she can move on with life. Food, shelter, clothing, and other reasonable expenses are borne by the parents. If teenagers can concentrate on what is expected from them their life can be easy. If however, the teenagers have unrealistic expectations, eagerness to bypass the time to mature but get rich, wealthy, and enjoy all the pleasures of life immediately, then life will not be easy. Add to this peer pressure and readily available distractions, a teenagers's life need not necessarily be easy. It is all a matter of choice.
