The physical abuse, harsh working conditions, and lack of autonomy over their own lives were among the worst aspects of a slave's life. Additionally, the forced separation of families and the constant threat of being sold away to another owner were also deeply traumatic experiences for slaves.

What was life like in the south for the newly freed slaves?

Life for newly freed slaves in the South was incredibly challenging. Many faced poverty, lack of access to education and healthcare, discrimination, and threats of violence from white supremacist groups. They also had to navigate the complexities of finding paid work and securing housing, often in a hostile environment.

Most slaves did what in slave rebellions that broke out?

Most slaves actively participated in slave rebellions by resisting their captors, organizing escape attempts, or engaging in acts of sabotage. Rebellion was often a way for slaves to challenge their oppressive conditions and seek freedom.

What was daily life for slaves in the colonies?

What I think about people being enslaved  in Louisiana is that it was horrible for Slaves that worked in Louisiana because they had to work and they were not paid. It was a good way for the captors to make money. The planters of Louisiana are greatly exercised concerning the continual escapes of their slaves and have held an important meeting at New Orleans about the labor question. After much angry talk and a good deal of abuse of the Government, of which they are "registered enemies," they seem to have agreed at last to pay their slaves wages. That's a sentence where they talked about how slaves were being paid wages Most masters were not good people they enslaved people. Even though Slaves got paid they did not get to live a good life as other people got too. I know slavery was bad because It's not right for people to be enslaved and slaves were crucially beaten and they were not treated right.

Where would most slaves end up if they weren't sold?

If slaves were not sold, they would typically be used by their owners to work on plantations, in households, or in various other forms of forced labor. Without being sold, they would remain under the control and ownership of their masters.

Did the slaves work for money?

No, slaves did not work for money. Slaves were forced to work without pay and were considered property of their owners. Any compensation they received was determined by their owners and not based on wages or fair labor practices.
