Many things occurred in the Roaring 20's or the Jazz age. WWI ended just before the 1920's began and the Wall Street Crash occurred in 1929.

Many cultural and political changes occurred here and in Europe and the East. Many European countries had democratic or communistic governments instead of monarchies.

Women got the right to vote in 1920, long after other countries. They wore their skirts knee length and wore "bobbed' hair.

Prohibition in the United States began in 1929. It was the beginning of organized crime (the Mob).

The KKK became acceptable and the Scope's trial was in 1925.

The first commercial radio stations began broadcasting and Lindbergh made the first non-stop flight across the Atlantic Ocean in 1927. Which is amazing as the Wright Brother's first flew in 1903.
