When you hear "Pearl Harbor" you automatically think of the events of war that happened there on December 7, 1941... or the romantic movie starring Ben Aflec and Josh Harnet. Not many think of the population that was there beforehand. The exact population is uncertain but it is said that 40 percent (approximately 160,000) were of Japanese decent.

Pearl Harbor was a harbor on the island of Oahu. It was not a town or city, so it did not have a population.
