The book "The Shawshank Redemption" by Stephen King features a main character named Andy Dufresne, who is known as "Red" within the story.
Red Skelton had a comedy show that was made up of skits. One skit that he was famous for was about two sea gulls named Gertrude and Heathcliff. He would do both parts. There was no sexual undertones, no cursing, and it was acceptable for all audiences. It was a great show.
There is not a famous person or character named Red Chief. There is a book called, The Ransom of Red Chief, though.
