Very hard to tell without a model number. There were several bolt actions and all came in .308. Your best bet is to locate a Gun Digest from approximately that period and try to match the model by the picture.

Probably in the $600-$900 range, but depends on which model and condition. There are 6 pages of Sako rifles in one of my references- so which one do you have?

100-1000 or more depending on EXACTLY what you have and its condition.
I have a Wards Western Field EJN-750 in .243, built on a Sako L57 action, number 3091. I purchased it new at the Montgomery Wards in Albany, NY in 1960. I believe it was manufactured in 1959 or 1960, but been unable to identify who manufactured it for Wards. There was another EJN-750 in .306 on the sale table, but I couldn't afford another $68 for it!
I PAID $600 FOR MINE USED ,ABOUT $1400 NEW
The H&R model 300 Ultra Rifle is a bolt action, repeating rifle. Typically built on a FN or Sako action, but possible other manufacture of actions. Generally considered a good quality rifle.
Will be valued more for it's use as a shooter rather than as a collectable Sako. Value would be in the $350-$450 range. sales@countrygunsmith.net
