In western world countries they would eat a lot of grains, porridge, bread, berries, fish and of course meat from all the present farm animals. Vegetables at that time was potato, carrot, lettuce, beans and cabbage.
Actually not a lot different from today, except the food was more simply prepared with less seasoning and spices. Salt and sugar was used to preserve food, and pepper or other exotic spices was almost none existent except in the southern and warmer climates.
They did not eat burgers, pasta and Pizza. That stuff didnt see the broad daylight until around the 1950's.
People like to add some cranberries to their food. But some people eat it by itself.
