Latin America includes Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America.

Using this definition, the northern areas of Latin American include Mexico and Central America, which were liberated by Catholic priest Miguel Hidalgo, and eventually Vicente Guerrero and Guadalupe Victoria.
