Great Western Manufacturing Co. was established in 1858 but it was not actually known as that until 1869. Great Western had been in the manufacturing of wood and coal burning cooking and heating stoves for several years but it was not until 1875 when a separate company was established as The Great Western Stove Co. From there the details get hard to pin down. In my own personal research I found that Great Western Stove Co. either changed their name but I believe they were actually bought out by The Family Banquet Stove Co. in the late 1920's to early 1930's. The Family Banquet Stove Co. went out of business in the early 1940's. I hope this answers your question. The King Hardware of Sheffield AL. bought out The Lizzie Loman stove works in 1905. The foundry was renamed King Stove & Range Co. In 1917 The Martin brothers bought out King Range & Stove Co and became Martin Stove Co. It may be that the Martin Stove Co still produced stoves under the name of King Stove up until the 1970's Not knowing the size of the stove or seeing a picture of it, it is hard to put a price on it. The price may range from $100 to over $1,000. I got this information from The Griswold & Cast Iron Cookware Association
