The United States at the time was just coming out of the depression. They didn't want to get involved in another European conflict. It took the US over 2 years to finally decide to enter WWII, even after many requests from the French and British governments to join on their side. So if the US weren't so eager to join WWII until later (after they got attacked), they most probably didn't think so much about the annexation of the Sudetenland, and eventually, the rest of Czechoslovakia, into the rest of Germany.

Essentially, the response to Hitler's invasion of Russia was diplomatic. The United States was already fighting wars on two fronts. At that point, the Russians were beyond any practical military assistance.

President Roosevelt and others were furious because Hitler had violated the terms of the Versailles Treaty when he took Czechoslovakia and Poland. However, the Americans did not want to join a war in Europe so he could not declare war on Germany as he wanted to do.
