In 1836 the USPS issued a commemorative (Scott #785) which features a portrait of Grant centered between two other Civil War generals. They are part of a 10-stamp set honoring the US Army and navy.
In 1995 the US post office issued a sheet of 20 different commemorative stamps showing Civil War figures. One of them shows US Grant .The Scott catalog number for the sheet is 2975 and the Grant stamp is the 4th stamp in the top row. (#2975d).
Grant also appears on Scott #2217 , issued 1986, which is a 9-stamp sheet with pictures of the US presidents from Tyler (10th president) thru Grant (18th)
