The only data I can find on this for you is that since the one child policy the data obtained from 39,585 females aged between 13 - 49 the Birth Rate dropped from 2.9 before the policy to 1.94 in women over 34 and 1.73 in women under 35. :)

There is no law in China specifying that you can't have a baby girl, however as baby boys are preffered and due to China's one child policy baby girls are often aborted before birth and soemtimes even killed after birth so the parents can try and have a baby boy.
