She only tells half the story and tells the rest in the morning so the Sultan wont kill her. She asks Marjan for help in finding stories because she is running out. They escape the harem so that they can find a blind storyteller that had told her a story long ago. They have to escape the wrath of the Khutan, the sultans mother. In the end Shahrazad and the sultan fall in love and Marjan leaves to a far away land so the Khutan wont kill her. This is basically what the Shadow Spinner is about but you have to read the book to get the whole picture.
