1969 I think
The Saturn V rocket did not land on the moon itself, but it was the launch vehicle that carried the Apollo spacecraft to the moon. The Apollo spacecraft then separated from the Saturn V rocket and landed on the moon during the Apollo missions. The first successful manned moon landing was Apollo 11 in 1969.
Apollo 17 which was the last rocket to land on the moon landed in December 7, 1972 at 12:33am
No Australians have landed on the Moons, only Americans.
The first rocket that successfully landed on the moon was the Apollo 11 Lunar Module named "Eagle." It carried astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin and landed on the moon on July 20, 1969.
The rocket itself was the Saturn V. If you're referring to the first spacecraft to ORBIT the moon, that would be Apollo 8. The first spacecraft to LAND on the moon was Apollo 11's lander 'Eagle'.
The first manmade object to reach moon was Russia's Luna 2. It launched Sep 12, 1959, and impacted the lunar surface (crashed) Sep 13, 1959.
The first rockets to send people to the moon were in December 1968 on Apollo 8. Those astronauts were not due to land on the moon, just to test if they could reach it and get back. Apollo 10 did similar work in 1969. The first to land on the moon were astronauts from Apollo 11 in July 1969.
The rocket that took the first man to the moon was the Saturn V rocket.
Apollo 11, the first mission to land on the moon in 1969 used the Saturn V rocket.
The first moon landing rocket that brought humans to the moon was Apollo 11, with all the flights before like Apollo 10, including the Gemini and Mercury Projects being test flights leading up to this one. The rocket was able to successfully land Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon and bring them back.
No Australian has landed on the moon, all were Americans.
