It was the Feudal pyramid that said, monarchs ruled (kings)

fallowing them were the nobles, after the nobles you had the knights and then peasants in the category of peasants you also have serfs who were not paid and who were tied to the land they worked on. The divine right of kings was the fact that they believed god gave monarchs the right to rule. Later in time the MAgna Carta was signed, causing over lapping in the nobles and the king then leading to the feudalism ending.

England developed a feudal system because it offered protection from invaders such as the Vikings and the Normans. Men pledged themselves as warriors and workers to men of a higher status, who would in turn give them a share of land and protect them from Viking and Norman (and other foreign) raids, as they would live inside the knight lord's (or some other esteemed title) compound, usually on a hill and/or with other kinds of defense.

Introducing the feudal system and why was this done?

The fuedal system was to do with the division of wealth and it's control, the movement from subsistence peasant agriculture to a system where landowners have the ability to make profit and tax their tenants/serfs. The best contrast is where the highlands of Scotland maintained their original "runrig" system whereby families rent was paid n military service to a clan and they could farm entirely for themselves compared to the lowlands where minor clearances occurred in order to establish a fuedal taxation system. Karl Marx wrote a very comprehensive history of the fuedal system in England which is by far the best reference on the subject from an economic point of view, for more factual accounts it would be wise to steer clear of that work.
