king kobra.
Well the largest extinct snake would be the Titanaboa which was as long as a bus however it was not venomous. The most venomous land snake according to the LD50 would be the Inland Taipan. While the most venomous of all snakes is the Hydrophis Belcheri or Belcher's Sea Snake. The last two are not extinct but the Taipan is very rare. The King Cobra is not extinct.
That would be the King Cobra. They usually measure about 15 feet in length, but the longest ever recorded was at a Zoo in London, measuring 18 feet 9 inches.
The largest snake was Titanoboa cerrejonesis. It was calculated at 50 feet long.
The Amethyst Python is non-venomous, and grows to 700cm in length. The longest snake ever measured in Australia was a specimen of this species.
Yes there has been venomous snake bites within the bay state. Two infact, there was a Timber Rattlesnake bite in Sheffield, MA. There was also a Northern Copperhead bite in Springfield, MA. Neither of the people that were bitten died.
The worlds current biggest species of snake is the Anaconda, Eunectes Murinus. The largest snake on record is the Titanoboas, a snake which died out liong ago but which grew to a gigantic length of 13m, at least. The current largest snake, is a Reticulated Python, which grew to 49 feet and is still on exhibit.
That depends on how you define "largest". The longest snake ever caught was a reticulated python measured at 32 feet. The heaviest snake ever caught was a green anaconda measuring 25 fee long and weighting 550 pounds. Anacondas are not quite as long a reticulated pythons, but they are thicker.
The scarlet kingsnake is harmless. The similar-looking coral snake is highly venomous and has been known to kill people. Mistaking a coral snake for a kingsnake could be the last mistake you'll ever make.
It Is Titanoboa. It Lived In Columbia. It Lived Just Right The Dinosaurs Became Extinct Or 60 to 58 million Years Ago.
