Jesus predicted his own death and resurrection in verse 8:13. Then in verse 9:1, told the disciples that some of them would not taste death until they saw the kingdom of God coming with power - the second coming. Chapter 13 is a more complete description of the second coming of Jesus on clouds of glory, during the lifetimes of some of those to whom he spoke.
