Versailles Treaty
The Treaty of Versailles was the most important of the peace treaties that brought World War I to an end.
The War Guilt clause of the Treaty of Versailles required Germany to accept all responsibility for all the damage of the war caused by Germany and its allies. The Treaty of Versailles also required Germany to disarm (no more standing army) and concede a substantial amount of territory. Widely regarded as the most damaging by historians is the stipulation that Germany had to pay the equivalent of 442 billion US dollars to the Allied powers.
the treaty which would have efected the Germans the most would have been the treaty of Versailles Germany had lost alot of land and money
most blatant breach: remilitarisation of the rhineland, 1936.
THE MOST UPSET ABOUT THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES WAS GERMANY BEACAUSE IT WAS UNJUST AND HUMILIATING = THEY HAD TO PAY A HUGE SUM OF MONEY OF Rs.6500000000 = THEY HAD TO GIVE UP ALL THEIR COLONIES TO VICTORIOUS NATIONS = THEIR ARMY WAS DEMILITARIZED
The Treaty of Versailles was what ended World War I. The document placed all of the blame on Germany, even though Austria-Hungary started the war. The Treaty took most of Germany's army, took a good chunk of Germany's land, and actually triggered a significant economic depression in Germany. The Treaty of Versailles was what ultimately lead to World War II.
