The play Medea is about a woman whose husband has an affair, and she is so devastated she kills her own children.

Medea's Husband, Jason, cheats on her for a princess. Medea becomes very depressed and she is being looked after by a nurse. The king, Creon, then banishes Medea because he worries that she is a danger to his daughter and Jason. She hatches a plan to rip apart Jason's whole life by making sure she kills everyone whom he loves out of spite. She does this by seeing Jason and telling him she is SO sorry and that she was the one doing wrong and that he was only doing it for the good of the family. He believes her and is really patronising and she says, to say sorry, she will give some gifts to Jason's new wife. Sure enough, she odes, but they are cursed. When the princess puts them on she dies a really painful death and anyone who touches her will die. Creon (her father) touches her, and he dies a painful death as well. Medea then has to stab her children too. D
