The Vietnam Draft was the secound war draft to be put into effect in America and the secound by the S.S.S. (Selective Service System). The draft called man chosen anonymously through a "lottary", the lottary was very simular to the "reaping" in the "Hunger Games". Those pick were to join the force and were to be asigned to any branch that needed more people. However, most did not join, infact only 40% of the men drafted actualy join the service. Even though the draft was repealed after boycotting, protesting, and "anti-drafting" acts, men have to sign up for the S.S.S. after they turn 18.

As things got worse, MOST people did't want to hear about. Especially if someone they knew had been killed or wounded over there. It was a touchy subject, and one that could cause an argument or worse. As things got worse, MOST people did't want to hear about.
