The Samurai in the Peasants view:
Where said to have been money, hungry, corrupt gangsters and killers who oppressed the peasants. They only used religion and spirituality to give themselves "purpose" during peace time. It is clear that the Samurai oppressed the peasant and merchant class; this was the case of where the lowest common class is oppressed by the more socially astute class.
Basically they saw the Samurai, NOT in a good way, becuase they were the lowest of the Japanese Feudal system!!!!!
daimyo: duty to govern an area ,provide justice and serve shogun
Each daimyo relied on the peasants to work in his land, in exchange, he offered protection from a small army of samurai.

The shogun was the main "advisor" of the emperor. In truth the shogun had all of the control, as the emperor was just a figurehead. The daimyo were provincial rulers who had control over small amounts of territory and at different times had largely independent power.
They weren't really. The daimyo of each domain made rules and he was answerable to the bakufu itself. The samurai were retainers of the daimyo and was not generally consulted on political issues.
The daimyo was the main leader of the samurai
All Daimyo are Samurai but not all samurai are Daimyo- the classical relationship would be Master and servant- yet that does not tell it all, as both parties had very specific rights and responsibilities towards each other.

The samurai warriors are paid from the daimyo. The daimyo pays the samurai warriors with either land, money, or food (typically rice).
They were the most powerful feudal lords in Feudal Japan right after the Shogun.
