Is World War 1 the same as the Cold War?

No, WWl was a real war with shooting and killing that lasted for 4 years, the cold war was between the USA and Russia, a lot of Sabre rattling and threats to blow each other up. I will add to the above answer which, in itself, is quite correct. The term "Cold War" usually refers to the period immediately following the Second World War and was essentially a staring contest between the USA (and its allies), and the USSR (and its allies), to see who would blink first...keeping in mind that the USA and the USSR were, in fact allies during WWII. The Cold War consisted primarily of differences in ideology and did not result in armed conflict. It did, however, create great tension between countries resulting in the buildup of nuclear weapons and other horrible devices of mass destruction, and involved much espionage between the countries. No, it is the continuing problem after WW2. The cold war was with Russia. No world war one is not considered the cold war, the cold war refers to Russia and the US, no battles were fought on field, mainly the building of nuclear missiles and missile sites. In a cold war, only threats are exchanged.

What did Bush mean when he referred to terrorist regimes as an axis of evil?

George W. Bush referred to the terrorist regimes as "axis of evil" because he believed the countries coordinated efforts to provide and seek weapons of mass destruction to attack the United States and its allies. The term was initially used during the January 29, 2002 State of the Union address.

Who is the largest mass murderer in history?

The problem with identifying the largest mass murderer in history is that there are incidents of mass murder which have not been accurately recorded or counted, and there are ambiguous situations as well; the policies of Chairman Mao of China lead to the death by starvation of some forty million Chinese, but was that murder or just negligent manslaughter? We can't be sure. But to answer your question, it was probably Adolph Hitler. Other candidates include Chairman Mao, Josef Stalin, and Hideki Tojo.
