Mainly Europe. But the allies and central powers colonies fought each other in Africa. A big part of the war was fought in the middle East at Gallipoli, Turkey
Although popular belief is that Gallipoli is better than Kokoda, many like me and lachy and Amelia disagree. Gallipoli was half way across the globe and kokoda was much closer to home and Australia and an imminent invasion threat. Gallipoli was also a stupid failure while kokoda was a legend. As i like to say Gallipoli made Australia, Kokoda saved Australia. Cam xoxo Gossip girl <3

I'm not sure about the Battle of Gallipoli, but I think that Gallipoli was an ongoing campaign lasting from April 25, 1915 until late 1916 (not sure about that), so obviously the weather changed a lot! During the summer, it was extremely hot, but beginning in November there were lots of rain and windstorms.
There were 26,094 Australian casualties at Gallipoli, but no record clearly indicates the number of amputees.
