Economic - The economic conditions were very bad under Benito Mussolini. Because he centralized decision making and established big bureaucracies, the government ended up causing a lot of economic chaos. By trying to control everything, he ended up controlling very little.

Social - Wages were often an issue for workers since they were thoroughly under paid. Fascism was supported by industrialists and land owners who wanted to see the destruction of labor unions and peasant cooperatives. People who didn't go for the idea of ideology were forced to.
