It is obvious that when the Treaty of Versailles was made, the rules weren't offering peace with the Germans, but it was more of a punishment. Germany was angered by how they had to pay approx. 30 billion dollars to the Allies (or the Triple Entente), they also had to give away some parts of their own land, which is now Poland. They had to lower all their military, by 100,000 men, and their naval ships were forced to be removed/weakened as well as their air forces. This was the biggest cause or excuse that the Germans were holding in so long. To be honest, there is so much more causes. Over all the Germans felt that WW1 loss was unfair, and they blamed it on the Jews(Adolf Hitler, hint hint) and then they started basically wiping out everyone of the Jewish religion, not blonde hair blue eyes(Aryan Race), Gypsies, Homosexuals, Handicaps, Jehovah's Witnesses, and many more who just interfered with the German/Nazism belief and ideals. So basically the Treaty of Versailles was the biggest/arguable cause to start WW2.
Many events led up to it, but the triggers that started it were the sinking of the Lusitania, and the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.
tha main cause is Militarism of Germany building up its weapons,
World War I led to World War II in the fact that after the war, all the countries signed a Treaty called the Treaty of Versailles in which Germany had to give up some land, they had to demilitarize, they had to take full blame for the war, and pay reperations to the Allied countires. From this Germany wanted revenge on the Allied countries.
1.The initial alliances by european countries. 2.Build up of military forces. 3.The assassination of Arch-Duke Ferdinand (sparked the start of the war).
WW1 was ended with the Treaty of Versailles which blamed the war on Germany. Germany was so mad about this that, for their new dictator, they looked to Hitler for guidance This led up to WW2, in a way.
German invasion of Poland

of Versailles? the first world war and assasination of franz Ferdinand
That is a complex answer. You should be more specific on what you want to know. Like what led up to to the war, that caused Germany to let Hitler come to power. Or what led the United States to enter the war.
Because it was a excuse for the start of a war and it led up to the killing of many people.
one event that led up to the revolutionary war is the Boston Tea party. :)
One of the main causes that led up to the Belgian Revolution was the treatment of the Catholic Walloons.
Their politics were so screwed up they wanted to steal ours.
