From 1907 - 1918 the ships manifests required by the US Government for all ports of entry, including the Port of New York, which used the inspection station on Ellis Island, had 29 columns for information to be collected. From 1893 - 1906 there were 22 columns, from 1919 - 1925 there were 33 columns and after 1925 there were 36 columns. This did not mean that the immigrant was called upon to answer 29 questions by the Immigration inspection officers. That was because the Ships Manifests were completed by the Ship's officers before arriving in America.
On-line resources at the Italian Genealogy Online web site, among other places, summarize the information recorded in each column of the form. See the Related Links below, where a page called "Extract Forms for Ships Manifests" has the column headings for each column on each form variation that was used.

Yes illegal immigrants do have some rights under the equal protection clause, cf. Plyer v. Doe. That does not mean that illegal immigrants must be granted completely equal treatment. Race was the the immediate reason for passing the 14th Amendment, and thus racial disparities are given the highest scrutiny under equal protection analysis. Aliens, however, are not afforded such deference.
Asking where an electron goes is one of those questions that can only be answered probabilistically. You'd have to solve for the expectation value.

They entered America at New York by passing through Ellis Island.
Immigrants were not allowed to vote because they were not American citizens. In order to be able to legally vote, you need to be a citizen either naturally or by passing the naturalization test.
You need (1.5) x (the percentage that's passing).

The passing score is a 70% but they throw 20 questions out so if you make at least a 56 then you will pass. Trust me it is a hard test so make sure you STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!The way it was explained to me was that they throw out a random 20 questions...some of which you may have answered correctly. It isn't just 20 incorrect answers. If this is so...it's just wrong. Consider the 20 questions: If they throw out 15 correct and only 5 incorrect, what percentage of the remaining 80 do you have to get correct in order to pass?
the settlers pushing the natives out of their land and taking the natives land. passing laws designed to make settlement easier.
depends. what's a passing score?
It depends on what is passing. If 60% is passing, you need 60 correct answers. If 65% is passing, you need 65 correct answers. If 70% is passing, you need 70 correct answers.
If C is passing and its a 10 point scale then.. you can only miss 18 questions.
You need to correctly answer1 plus the greatest integer in (0.56 x the passing percentage ).
