What were the arguments for and against American ratification of the Treaty of Versailles?
The main arguments at the time surrounding American ratification
of the Treaty of Versailles had little to do with the contents of
the treaty, but rather the American entrance to the League of
Nations. The argument against claimed that the League was trying to
pull the United States into every little foreign disagreement,
while the argument for said that the League was a good way to avoid
or mediate conflicts before they became wars.
