The Battle of the Bolg was a skilful German Counter attak in the Arden in a spicific town i am not shore witch.
In late 1944, The German Army attacked the American Army in Belgium. It was just before the place where the American Army turned over responsibility for the front to the British Army. So, it was Germany, England, and the United States.
It is the area of the Belgium/Germany border, the Ardennes. There were some British forces involved (Monty claimed to have tidied up the battlefield ! Oh dear...) but primarily it is a German Vs US conflict. The siege of Bastogne was a great struggle & McCauliffes reply of 'Nuts' to the invitation to surrender has gone down in history. The idea of the Germans retaking Antwerp, let alone any more grandiose ideas, is preposterous.
the Germans, the Americans and the british people
In total, there were 7 countries involved with the Battle of the Bulge (6 allies and 1 axis). The allies were; US, UK, Canada, Belgium, France and Luxemburg resistance. The axis country was Nazi Germany.
About 1,330,000 men were involved in the Battle of the Bulge
The battle of Bulge was fought between Germany, and the United Kingdom.
During World War II, the Battle of the Bulge, which was fought in December 1944 and January 1945, involved mainly American ground-forces opposed by German attackers. British troops were involved in the northernmost section of the battle, while a mixed-nationality force was involved in the air, supply, intelligence, and other elements involved in the battle.
the German offensive at the battle of the bulge caused a 'bulge' in the allied front lines, thus came about the term 'battle of the bulge'........

My father was in the 59th Signal Battalion in WWII. They were definitely involved in the Battle of the Bulge (Ardennes campaign). Some members of the battalion were actually stranded in Bastogne for a while. This was a very nasty fight.
