There was of course 'Survivor's guilt', the coming to terms with the fact that most of the people around them has died, but they had been spared.
There was also very often problems in returning to where they came from. People there often felt guilty about not doing more to protect their Jewish neighbours, this would often manifest itself in anger towards the returning victim.
Survivors in Poland found that under the Communist government their houses had been re-allocated to others and they had nowhere to go back to.
