Firstly would be China as they were for a long time considerably more advanced then the western world.
Secondly would be India as that is were some of the earliest civilizations started and they have a lot of culture and history.
The Mongolins controlled a very large portion of Asia and east Europe
Babylon and Persia are also Asian and were large civilizations
Russia is a part of Asia and is/was an important county/civilization today
Some people say Japan but i'm not sure if they really did a lot in the past (i fought they just fought among themselves) i would have to look it up
