Making Japan surrender to end World War 2 was the only pro to the bombing.
The main cons are that 135,000 of mostly civilians died as a result, and in particular, the second bomb was probably not even necessary.
Lots of second guessing by people not having to live through the war is not really all that helpful, but it is good to reflect upon arguably bad decisions that have been made and to try not to repeat them.
They comment that Japan was war ruined and that he knew they were looking for peace. In the other hand, the comment was that the atomic bomb brought the end earlier.
President Truman wanted to drop the bomb because he knew that Japan would surrender, but he didn't want to drop the bomb because he knew how affective it would be and how many people could die. the atomic bomb was still dropped.
After the war was over the US could depend 100% on atomic bombs and that the conventional military forces could be completely gutted to allow him to balance the Federal budget. He believed that building atomic bombs and bombers would be cheaper than conventional military forces and that as we were the only country with atomic bombs nobody could threaten us without risking being destroyed by our atomic bombs.
Unfortunately Truman was more of a clerk than a military planner and completely failed to realize how gutting the conventional military would also interfere with development of the bombers and training the crews needed to deliver atomic bombs and that our main likely antagonist (the USSR) had a very capable air defence system already in place that would likely shoot down the majority of the bomber long before they could reach their targets to drop atomic bombs on. The US also had no real idea where any targets were in the USSR and no means of obtaining such information that was reliable.
i know it stopped WWII and killed many of insist people.
Too many civilian casualties, the illness it brought and the devastation.
the pros were that they carried machine guns and bombs. the cons, were that they were easy to shoot out of the sky
First and foremost it ushered in the atomic age, with all of its pros and cons. In addition, the two bombs saved many lives in the USA, but killed around 140,000 people in Hiroshima and 80,000 in Nagasaki by the end of 1945. The estimates for an allied invasion of Japan were into the millions of casualties. There was an additional fear that the Japanese would begin a scorched earth policy. Without the two bombs, the war would have drug on for another year or longer. The suffering would have become much more dreadful for the Japanese and the allies would probably been forced to reduce Japan to little more than charred rock. The death toll would have surpassed any other campaign.
What are the pros and cons of indentured servitude for the employer
See: Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The cons of dropping the atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the number of civilians killed. The other facts were positive like ending the war and the number of lives saved of our military personnel.

After it was done, no one could do a thing about that. It is true that the bombs ended the war and collapse Japan's to make war again but on the hand the advocates against the use of atomic bombs mostly referred on the civilian casualties, the illness it brought and the devastation.
PROS: It ended the war. We gave them a chance to surrender. There would have been more people killed if we had went over there to fight. The two cities that were bombed were going to get fir-bombed anyways. Only two bombs were ready and we couldn't afford to drop a test one. The results of the bomb droppings have prevented other countries from dropping nuclear bombs and such.
Its sole purpose is to kill nothing else

Ended the war without killing a million Allied soldiers. Killed a lot of Japanese and began the "nuclear age".
It would end the war and collapse Japan's means to make war ever again.
