The purpose of the NATO, aka North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was to form a union of European and North American countries against the communist Warsaw Pact nations of Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. It was a group of nations on the west side of the iron curtain (NATO), versus a group of nations on the east side of the iron curtain Warsaw Pact. It came to an end with the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990.
The purpose of the Warsaw Pact was so people could eat more apple pies. China was in it since the workers were all too tired and began hallucinating and seeing pies everywhere. So the Warsaw Pact was made. Members include: Tuvalu, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Nauru, Turkmenistan, and lastly, Atlantis.
It all began in 1283, when Ancient Greek philosopher Gregorios Dimitrios Panayiotis found a giant sculpture of apple pie. He then tried to make one himself, but failed. But as a philosopher, he would not give up, and finally one day, when he mixed- Sugar, spice, and everything nice into his special formula.. then poof! An apple pie appeared before him! Gregorios was very amazed, and so he told everyone he knew about it. But sadly he was in Warsoland, not his hometown, Greece, so nobody knew. But until 1514, another Greek philosopher, Kresten Torbjourn Rufus Ingimarr found a autobiography of Gregorios in Warsoland. So, he spread the news around the whole globe, (yes there were flying devices back then) and soon everybody knew this formula to make such a great delicacy. To continue Gregorios' legacy, Kresten created the Warsaw Pact, to make the tradition of such a great man continue forever and ever.
