North Korea invaded South Korea
At the end of World War II, Japan surrendered Korea to the Allies. The country was then divided into two parts, North Korea and South Korea. The United States withdrew its troops when the Republic of Korea was set up. They provided economic support. On June 25, 1950, North Korea invaded South Korea. The United States then backed up South Korea and fought with them. So did many other Allied countries. In the first few weeks of the war, North Korean forces met little resistance and advanced rapidly. By September tenth, the South Korean Army had been driven to the Southeast tip of South Korea. On September fifteenth, the United Nations forces made a daring counterattack. They landed at Incheon. This was on the West coast. On October nineteenth, the North Korean capitol was captured. Eventually the U.N troops drove the North Korean troops to the border of China. China saw this as a threat and launched a counteroffensive. The communist forces worked together to force the U.N back to South Korea. They then captured the South Korean capitol. The fighting was eventually drawn back to the borders of the two countries. The border was called the 38th parallel. That is where it remained for the rest of the war. The countries never signed a treaty so technically they are still at war.
North Korea (at the time classified as a 'Communist Satellite State') invaded South Korea in June 1950. This invasion force was countered by a US-led UN force, which was in turn countered by Chinese intervention on the North Korean side.
The North Korean military attacked South Korea.
There was no long term cause. North & South Korea were NEW countries that never existed before. They came into existence in 1945 when WW2 ended. The cause was one country trying to conquer the other. The North taking over the South.
The North invaded the South.

There was only one cause of the Korean War, North Korea's attack on

South Korea.

I THINK THAT Korean war is caused because of the conflict between communist and domocrats. When Japan invaded Korea, United State and Soviet Union helped Korean out. They bombed the Hiroshima and Korea released from Japan's control. Some of people persuade that Korean should follow the Soviet Union and Some people persuade that Korean should follow United State, as time goes, it became larger and larger and they separated in to North and South. Interesting fact is that on 3.8 lines, they buried about 200 mines for their own safety.

The Koreans wanted 2 control Everything

so they could have more land for crops

Basically, after the Second World War, Korea was split on the 38th parallel, communist China on the north, and U.S in the south. There were many bloody fights along the border from 1945-50, with neither side forcing past the line, until 25 July 1950, when maoist North Korean/Chinese troops attacked South Korea, with the aim to invade and capture it. There was no real cause, apart from communists wanting to spread and tensions boiling over.

North Korea invading South Korea.

The opening of Soviet archives in 1990 showed that the drive for the invasion came from the North Koreans, not the Soviets. The North Korean dictator, Kim Il-Sung, repeatedly pestered Stalin to agree to support the invasion. Stalin was reluctant but eventually agreed, warning that he would not support North Korea if the invasion went awry and that they'd have to count on the support of China. Although Stalin was not a great supporter of the invasion, the North Koreans considered this to be the green light for the invasion to go ahead. China, led by Mao Zedong, agreed to support North Korea.

The United States believed that all Communist activity could be traced to Moscow and immediately saw the invasion as an example of Soviet expansionism.

AnswerNorth Korea, led by a communist government, invaded south Korea. This was the immediate cause. It was seen as a communist attempt to Overtake an Allie of the US and therefore, caused the US to intervene. As well as 15 other nations which were part of the United Nations.

Russia was a very strong and powerful communist country. During the last few weeks of the WW II, Russia sent in troops to Northern Korea. When WWII finished Russia did not leave. Because Russia was very powerful and a communist country, the U.S.A. felt very threatened as they did not want the spread of communism. To prevent this they sent their own troops to South Korea. This divided the country. It was supposed to be temporary. The U.S., Russia, the U.N. and Great Britain spent years discussing Korea's future and in 1947 the U.N. supervised elections that were to take place, but the USSR didn't allow the U.N. into North Korea. In South Korea the elections took place and Syngman Rhee was elected. Later that year North Korea proclaimed independence and Kim II Sung became president. Korea was officially divided - communist North Korea and democratic South Korea.

As a result of World War 2, the US and the Soviet Union agreed to occupy the Korean peninsula to help it rebuild as it formed a new government. Unfortunately, the northern and southern halves of the peninsula could not agree on a new government, leading to a communist North Korea and a democratic South Korea. After the US and USSR left, North Korea invaded South Korea and almost defeated them. The US convinced the United Nations to deploy troops, mostly Americans, in the defense of South Korea. As South Korea and UN troops gained momentum, China entered the war on the side of North Korea, and the war eventually ended in a stalemate.
