When Alexander Graham Bell was only sixteen he taught music. During his teachings, Alexander would experiment with tuning forks. When Alexander was 24 years old he moved to Boston, Massachusetts. During that time, Boston was busy with inventors, scientists, colleges and industry.

His father taught elocution, or how to speak correctly. His deaf mother, Eliza, worked as an artist. He did not go to primary school, instead, his father taught him at home.
