to survive
They have to have certain tactics to keep them save from other hungry animals out there. They need to have the ability to have self protection from predators.
Either would survive just fine if they were born and raised wild, they were bred from wild animals I think cats and dogs have a pretty good chance of survivng too. But honestly I think that the cats could get a kill faster and I think that the dogs would live faster because they are stronger and will work with other dogs.
Yes. Cats are domestic creatures, bred for a life in the home, and while many of them can survive on their own in the wild, their lives as a result are "nasty, brutish, and short," as they do not get the medical care they need. Additionally, these days few kittens are taught the skills they need to survive in the wild by their mothers, because we dislike the idea of our cats hunting and killing smaller animals, and so prevent the mothers from bringing home the animals she needs to teach these skills.
Wild cats defended their territory to keep the resources that were there, to themselves. Think of it this way; your house has all of the supplies you need to survive, and people break into your house and start to take things like your food and water supply, your bed and clothes. What would you do; let the robber take your stuff, or fight to protect your house and everything in it? That's basically the same thing with wild cats, they defend their territory so they will have all of the necessary things to survive. That, and to show their dominance.
No, feral cats are considered just that: Feral. Feral cats are usually house cats that have been abandoned or neglected. Most would not survive in the wild like real wild cats for any length of time. This is why a lot of feral cats live in small groups that share the same territory, shelter and food supply.
They need food and water of course.
There are a wide variety of animals that prey on lorikeets in the wild. The most common prey of the lorikeet include wild cats and larger predatory birds, such as the eagle.
