Have the transmission checked for codes. That will tell you the possible causes.
I found out that I had a blown ignition fuse.
this might not be the answer your lookin for but i would take the fuse out till it rained again that way its not always on and drivin you crazy
A 1996 Plymouth Breeze that starts and runs until it warms up, but then stalls might have a problem with a temperature sensor. The sensor is telling the computer that the temperature is too high for the engine to operate safely. Check the Electronic Temperature Sensor or the Manifold Pressure Sensor (MAP).
If the lights in the car come on, then at least part of the system is getting power. Check the battery connections again. Then check the starter solenoid and starter to insure that they are getting power and are working properly.
I would check on the EGR. system, the valve and position sensor.
yes, that could be a cause. Along with fuel pump, crank sensor,....
You can disconnect any part on any car without having to buy a new part. But if you want it to work again, you may have to buy a new part.
yes you should or have it rebuilt any contaminants from the torque converter went into the transmission..not unless you want to do it again soon
My 96 Breeze did the same thing. Sometimes it would start again, other times it didn't. I took it to the dealer (after an independent shop said "you need a new engine") and it turned out to be the cam sensor. It has run like a champ ever since.
take the battery out of it then power on again
the cold breeze starts at land, when it is at sea it becomes warm. Then it blows back to land where it becomes cold again
Even if it does bolt up, that transmission for the 3.8 isn't rated to handle the torque output of a 5.0. You don't want to make this transmission swap unless you're in the mood to make another one again in the near future.
