What gearheads call and engine explosion and what actually happens is not truly and explosion.
When the internal rotating mass of the engine self disassembles or "Explodes" at high speed and high stress the connecting rods often get projected out of the engine block causing instant massive loss of oil and coolant.
The hot metal parts can be scattered onto the road way causing tire damage and "Shrapnel" damage to following cars.
The oil and coolant can get on to the hot exhaust system causing a fire.
Even without a fire the fluids can cause smoke and steam clouds the obscure vision of the following motorists or even the car with the engine failure.
The oil and coolant can also create a oil and coolant slick that makes the car almost uncontrollable.
Still not the explosion from Hollywood.
it explodes....yay.
It explodes
gets hot and explodes
it explodes
Gasoline engine is an internal combustion engine where a diesel is an internal compression engine. Gasoline is highly flammable and explodes when an electrical spark is applied to it where diesel explodes when it is put under pressure
it wold pop.
It explodes...?
the car stops working
it will seize up
You could blow your engine up.
This is condensation and it is normal for that to happen.
cars get power from gasoline because when the gas enters the cylinder the spark plug explodes the gas which pushes the piston down and turns the crank shaft which moves the car
