That depends a little bit on 'how wrong' the fluid was. You may or may not experience any symptoms of problems right away, but over the long term, the transmission, or at least some of it's parts, seals, or sensors will be damaged.
Have the transmission drained, flushed, and refilled with correct fluid immediately.
