the motor wll get very hot very quickly when you get stuck in traffic or stop at a red light The engine will overheat if it's running and the vehicle is not moving. It will probably be ok on the highway, but you'll have problems when it gets warmer and you don't get enough air across the radiator. as in all cars, if the radiator fan stops working your car will more than likely overheat.the radiator fan is there to cool the radiator when it gets hot, and believe me it does get hot. that's why you should never try to take the radiator cap off until your vechicle cools down because the hot steam will burn you if you do!!!!!!!!!!!
The engine will overheat.
Blown fuses, melted wiring, computer damage,
A leaking radiator hose would NOT cause this to happen, you have 2 problems with this vehicle.
Chrysler Classic Racing happened in 2008.
It will overheat and cause damage
If it is a water-filled or oil-filled radiator, it will leak fluid.
I had the same thing happen to my 96 sebring and it turned out it was my radiator cap had lost its seal so took it to jiffy lube paid 8 dollars they put it on no problem since
Yep can happen as the pump isnt working then. Put on a new belt. Check level of coolant in radiator etc
Ask your mechanic to check out your electronic sensor. I had the same thing happen, and after replacing the radiator and other parts of the cooling system, it turned out to be the fan sensor.
It is not common, but does happen. It is not common, but does happen.
Defective radiator cap? Leak in system (Pressure test)? Head gasket?
