burn your valves up if you run it to long. burns hotter It will continue to function normally. Nothing will happen to the engine. BUT- Ethanol will decrease mileage because it contains less power per molecule than gasoline. I only use it because its less expensive and helps the farmers out. Answer E10 (up to 10% ethanol) is safe and approved for most newer engines. Biggest problem is ethanol readily attracts and absorbs water, has short shelf life, is a strong solvent, degreaser, has lower energy... - Ethanol blends are not suitable for marine engines and long term storage. Higher oxygen content often requires engine modifications. See fueltestkit for more details.
This process will only cause ethanol molecules to enter the gas phase. So, it's simply ethanol as a gas leaving the solution
Are there any gas stations/counties in Wisconsin that do not mandate ethanol usage? Thanks. Chris Ament Here's a legit site with stations that sell non-ethanol gas: http://www.molonyrealestate.com/Ethanol_Free_Gas_Stations_in_Wisconsin.html
Ethanol is a liquid at normal ambient temperatures and is not a greenhouse gas. However, when ethanol is used as a fuel in a vehicle, CO2 (carbon dioxide) is emitted. CO2 is considered a greenhouse gas in that as it builds up in the atmosphere, it has the same effect as the glass roof of a greenhouse. It allows energy from the sun to enter the earth's atmosphere but prevents some of it from being re-emitted back into space. The net effect is that the temperature begins to rise, just as in a greenhouse.
Ethanol is an alcohol and carbon dioxyde is an inorganic gas.
Oxygen.
It depends on the percentage of ethanol and the vehicle. My 1994 Chevy K2500 lost about 1 mpg on 11% ethanol.
If you have the Flex Fuel Vehicle ( FFV )
I know over time that gas with ethanol will deteriorate the fuel lines on a boat, because they were not made for ethanol. I do not know, however, what would happen with a plastic boat gas tank. One would assume that if it did destroy the gas can, the government would mandate a warning of some sort. Otherwise, people could get killed.
No, its bad for your engine Sure you can mix them as long as your vehicle has a flex fuel engine. You can also mix then in a non flex fuel engine as long as you do not mix more than 10% ethanol with plain gasoline.
You would get slightly better distance per volume of the fuel used.
From what I've heard, if your vehicle was not designed to run on ethanol, don't put it in the tank. Ethanol is a type of alcohol, and will corrode fuel lines, fuel injectors and cause a number of problems. 99, suburban....I'd use regular gas to be safe
Possibilities:Higher proportion of ethanol in the fuelA lot of extra weight in the vehicle
You can only use the gas that is blended with ethanol. 90 % gas 10 % ethanol. You can not use the new 85% ethanol 15 % gas; this will eat the seals on your fuel system. I hope this helps you. Mark
ethanol added to the gas pump is leading to less mileage for my car. Where can I find non ethanol gas stations on the west coast of Fl.?

what stations in lubbock tx have ethanol free gas?
The BP at US1 and 192 has non ethanol gas....
