What would be a good way to prevent a communicable disease such as the common cold?

Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze. Clean your hands often as you touch many surfaces each day. Using antibiotic wipes or soaps will not help as colds are caused by viruses and they are not affected by these. Best is to use soap and water to wash them away.
