BAD THERMOSTAT That is one possibility. It could also be that the there is something blocking air from flowing thru the radiator, or an internally clogged radiator or bad radiator cap. The thermostat and radiator cap are easy cheap fixes, try them first and check inside the radiator when you have the fluid down and see how the passages look. Also look in front of the radiator to see if something might be blocking the airflow. Hope this helps. "G"
