Your problem could be one of many different things, the major problems could be: 1. If the shaking is speed related... an imbalanced tire (wheel) could be the cause. 2. You could have a bent axle. 3. Your tire casing could be separating from the tread. 4. Your tire rim could be loose. 5. You might need new shocks. 6. Your steering linkage components could be loose or worn or broken. Good Luck... these are just a few of the things that can cause your symtom.
You either have worn steering components like bad inner or outer tie rod ends, or worn lower ball joints. Sometimes a broken belt on a tire can cause shaking, but that's usually at lower speeds.
Loose/worn steering components. Especially the steering stabilizer shock and the trac bar.
A shaking steering wheel means something is wrong. Can be a tire out of balance, bent wheel, or suspension problem. Whatever it is, the shaking it putting stress on other parts and can cause other things to wear out. It is especially hard on wheel bearings. have this diagnosed and repaired asap.
Steering fluid leak.
Struts themselves cannot cause shaking, I think who ever was assembling your car did not install properly wheels or the alignment was disturbed.
More than likely your tires are out of balance. Have your tires rotated and balanced. Make sure they check for a bent wheel.
Most common cause is warped rotors.
Could be tires out of balance. Or a bad tire.
I don't know you tell me.
some cars yes (like 4 drive)
Tire out of balance is the most likely cause. Can also be a bent wheel.
Worn-out ball joints in the steering linkage or suspension. This allows the steering angle between the wheels to vary, causing them to wobble.
